Isuzu and Co-op Bank Fleet Africa Leasing Limited on 29th July 2020 at the Isuzu EA plant announced a leasing deal for Matatu Saccos that gave two PSV Saccos (Metro Trans and Super Metro) access to one hundred Isuzu NQR 33-seater buses.

The event featured the handover of the first 25 buses, built through Isuzu dealer Central Farmers Garage (CFG) to the Chairman, Super Metro PSV Sacco.

The leasing deal with Co-op Bank is targeted to customers who run public service vehicles to help them revitalize their businesses.

The Isuzu NQR 33-seater buses sell for Kshs 5.3 million each. There will be no deposit required in the lease financing, which aims to help the PSV operators recover faster from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The total value of the lease transaction is Kshs 530 million. It is the largest fleet delivery that the auto industry has put together for the PSV sector.
